It's Holiday Time?! Happy Thanksgiving!

What?! It's mid November? Holidays are upon us! So I am madly working away in the shop to bump up my inventory and bust out custom orders. It's always a busy time for me but I know that I get a rest in January. I recently pulled out some gorgeous chalcedony beads that I recently purchased from a gem dealer and began a small grouping of holiday party drop earrings (see below).

Free Form and Architectural Jewelry

In the last few weeks I have been working on some special wax carving projects. I usually fabricate most of my jewelry from sheet, wire and various metal stock but sometimes a project calls for unusual curves or shapes so I carve a wax model to be cast in silver or gold.

And it still is snowing...

So, living in Wyoming means about 8 months of winter. The snow is coming down heavily today, April 22.  But after living here over a decade I'm finally used to it.  Anyway to get through this time of year I often do indoor projects, this weekend I decided to devote my craft skills to making a new skirt. (those are my gas tanks for soldering in the background).
